Finding humour in something doesn't hurt anybody by itself. Someone can be both saddened at the reality of a situation yet laugh at the irony of it.

For me the line is crossed when treating the death of over a 100 people like a joke. I would be lying if I woulld say, it saddens me on a personal level. I didn't know these people, but I can appreaciate the fact that they all leave family and friends behind, apart from the fact that it was a most horrendous accident. And that's certainly not joke material.
