Why would we need nerves?

To feel pain, to warn us harm is happening.

Why would we need these?

Because god made it so we could be harmed, and put in stuff that could harm us. Thanks a lot god. Could you at least make it so I can turn the pain feedback off when I know I'm in constant pain and can't do anything about it yet? Just a reminder ever half hour would be fine. I don't need it all the fucking time. Cheers.
