Rapture October 7th, 2015

People have been asking them just what is going to happen on the 7th. Most of the eBible denizens have been cagey and evasive for some reason.

One brave soul put forth the following as what may happen on this fateful, glorious day. A bit wordy, but it is the End of the World, so talk is cheap:

• Quite honestly, no one knows how the exact details of the very last day (which we expect to be October 7th) will pan out, with the exception of what we do know from the Bible. And I think most of us have been focused on studying other things and not on how exactly the last day will pan out. It doesn't really matter that we know how exactly the unsaved will die because we know enough already. We know that they will be destroyed forevermore and that will be on the last day when He takes His people home.
  
  From what we do know, there will most likely still be a physical earthquake and there will be a resurrection of all those who are dead in Christ and they along with all the elect who are alive and on the earth and remain (those who have not been eternally cut off and are saved) will go to be with Christ. We don't know exactly how it will pan out, whether they will literally be caught up in the air (as a particular passage suggests) or however God plans that to happen.
  
  1 Thessalonians 4:14-17: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
  
  God's elect will be changed and have the completion of their salvation, their new glorified bodies.
  
  Philippians 3:20-21: For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
  
  God's elect will receive the consummation of their salvation and all go to be with Him in eternity future.
  
  On the same last day, as the elect receive the completion of their salvation, the unsaved are all destroyed along with this entire present creation. It seems that this entire creation will be destroyed completely by fire; the heavens and the earth and all that are therein will be destroyed by literal fire. Within the period of judgment day, on the last day, the heavens and the earth will pass away and the earth will melt with fervent heat:
  
  2 Peter 3:10-12: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
  
  Isaiah 51:6: Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
  
  It seems that God will annihilate all of the unsaved as He destroys this entire creation. But thankfully, the punishment is complete and utter annihilation and not eternal literal punishment forever more in a place of literal fire (as the church's have incorrectly taught for hundreds of years) and it will be relatively quick, it seems. It won't be some very long and drawn out process.
