The apostles and elders in Jerusalem considered the matter and wrote a general letter saying that Gentile converts did not need to be circumcised or keep the law except for a couple points. See Acts 10 for Peter's revelation, Acts 15 for the Jerusalem council, and pretty much all of Paul's letters.
Acts 10:28 God showed Peter he shouldn't call any man common or unclean.
Acts 15:19-21 James says, don't trouble the gentiles, But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. (The rest they'll learn at the synagogue) For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. (1cor 8:4, 1jn 5:21)
