Unfortunately, the doctor had to cancel on her, last time there was to be an ultrasound, because of some kind of emergency, and the only slot they had available in the short-term was on a date where she had a prior commitment she couldn't get out of... so we have to wait until mid-month to find out. All we know so far is that this one's a gymnast in the womb!
let us know when you find out if its a boy or girl
You bet. I'll probably be here asking for naming suggestions, because for both of us, it seems, it's impossible to think of what we might name this child until we know the sex of the baby. I keep trying, but nothing leaps out at me, because if I'm looking at a list of boy-names, I keep thinking "it's probably a girl", and vice-versa.
I would like to name him/her something relatively gender-neutral, so there are no issues later in life if (s)he turns out to be transgendered, etc. Plus, I just generally dislike most of the social programming that we install on the brains of our children about gender roles.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
