As I said, I am looking for what brings one to Athiesm. I do not believe Atheists are doomed, or damned, or going to hell. I do not believe God cares, anymore than a parent would doom their child for hating them. As for evidence for God, there is good and bad in the world. It is a cause of our free will. You can't have good without bad. We all have choices, challenges, hopes and regrets. And none of it would work if we knew Dad was home. You don't have the kegger at home if mom and dad are around. The fact that there is no evidence is how its supposed to seem, THATS THE POINT.Really you're going to assert AGAIN that we hate god? After already being explained? Alright, fair enough, well by your own admission you hate 99% of the other gods except yours in that case. Oh what's the matter, you don't like when we use your own logic against you? Too bad.
Santa clause and the tooth fairy are just as plausible as god, he doesn't have to put anymore thought in to it, god is of the same importance, it is just as fanciful and made up as is santa and the tooth fairy, and the only reason you believe it should be more important is because of social popularity and indoctrination.
If you are just going to keep ignoring people that prove your arguments wrong, and re asserting them as if right by default, you can sincerely get the fuck off this forum.
And lastly, go ahead and believe god is correct and he intends there to be no evidence, just know, you are completely and utterly incorrect, and are basing your argument on nothing other than imaginative wishfulness. So here's a quote:
"The belief in a god that has an important message for mankind, that somehow only reveals himself to certain individuals who then write this down and thousands of years later after this initial revelation we have to rely on copies of copies of translations of copies by anonymous authors with no originals. And the textual testimony to a miracle for example the loaves and fishes there's no amount of reports anecdotal tesimonial reports that could be sufficient to justify believing that this event actually happened as reported, no amount. And anything that would qualify as a god would clearly understand this, and if he wanted to convey this information to people in a way that was believable would not be relying on text's to do so, and this to me is the nail in the coffin for christianity.
The god that christians believe in is amazingly stupid if it wants to actually achieve its goal of spreading this information to humanity by relying on text, by relying on languages that die off, by relying on anecdotal testimony. That's not a pathway to truth, and anything that would qualify for God should know this. Which means either that God doesn't exist, or doesn't care enough about those people who actually understand the nature of evidence to actually present it." - Matt Dillahunty
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?
Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.
