Let's not sell religion short, Min. Here are just a few of the many things religion has given humanity that science has never dreamed of supplying:
1) The demon theory of disease
2) Telepathic communication with imaginary beings
3) People who are claimed to have flouted the laws of physics at will (e.g., levitating, walking on water, de-materializing and walking through walls and doors, etc.)
4) A cool story about a global flood
5) Zombies
