You might want to read up on the Quran at some time. It is virtually on the same lines as the bible. As has been said, you find all the good and bad the other religions have too. Such as the above. And at the time in question, it was much more tolerant than Western christianity. It isn't a handbook on how to wage war, as it isn't handbook on love peace and happiness.
So, yes, going by their scriptures, all religions are indeed the same.
Ok, so you see no significantly influential difference on Society X whether it's the bible or the koran which they've been teaching from for the past 1000+ years. So then, why are Muslim values and moral teachings so disparate from Christian values in so many societies where Muslims exist? Why are Muslims so different from the Christians in New York? Even here, their women still wear head scarves when they're out. Why so much less value on scientific progress? Why so few (if any) Nobel Prize-winning Muslims for a group which compreises at least 1/3 of the global population?
You guys have been saying there's other reasons than Mohammad and his book, but I still haven't seen them listed. I've taken multiple stabs at guessing what they may be after considerable thought besides the book, and the consensus by those of you who know more than I is that it isn't that. It's not the man Mohammad vs. Jesus or Moses, and it isn't the Arab cultural background either. When it comes to tolerance, I still find that dubious, depending on where there was tolerance (e.g., Alexandria was a tolerant city, but it was no more Muslim while that was so than it was pagan or Xtian). Is it really the Crusaders who shaped the culture of hatred, after the Arabs strode into Israel with their Korans, a place where they had little use for other than proselytizing (where the Israelis practiced agriculture, which Arabs had little respect or use for then)?
I'm listening, so please enlighten me.
Mr. Hanky loves you!
