Bold below is mine.
I couldn't fix the quoting, but you see where my words are.
If "you can't yet ask all people", then perhaps the statement about 90% of the world shouldn't be made at all. Stevell wasn't talking about a survey. He stated an opinion (see below)
I asked for proof that 90% of the world believes in god. I still have not yet had an actual answer to my question. Thing is, if you are going to pass off an opinion as fact, you need to have the proof to back it up. So, if you are going to state the opinion about 90% of the world's population as believing in god, bring the proof or else rephrase your opinion to include the words "I feel" or "I think" or "It's possible that" etc. That way you aren't coming off as someone who has to scramble and backtrack in order to get out of answering a question.
I am not splitting hairs. He made the opinion as a statement. I merely asked him to provide proof. That's how discussions work. By you assuming "more or less, he's right." is a bold step to make considering you can't even show me actual statistics where every single person on earth has been asked whether or not they believe in god.
Furthermore, a majority of people are idiots, you say? Glass houses my friend, glass houses.

Furthermore, the OP cites specifically that 90% of the WORLD believes in god. And not just any god. Not just "A god", but god. So really, I'm still waiting for a satisfactory answer to my question.
Surveys don't work like that. You can't yet ask all people. But such statistics do have margins of errors, you know. It's pretty reliable science, anyway.
