You can substitute tribalism with nationalism.
In some societies though, it's totally acceptable to do the big three to other people ; that's the essence of nationalism anyhow
and what is nationalism but an extended and more advanced form of tribalism ?
Islam though, prevents committing those three even against others.
There are two types of Islam :
1)The fox news+ Sunni/Shia Islam : which you're talking about in your comment.
2)The real Islam : which doesn't even has "stoning" in it.
Stoning was never mentioned as a penalty in the Quran, neither was "Jihad" meant to be waged against people who didn't attack first with fatal methodologies.
Islam today is something like 10 or more different sects; believing in different things. It's more than what Fox news says.
It's more correct to say : "taking the sunni/shia faiths (or fox news) too seriously, is what would lead to the things you said".
Quote:I'm not talking about the ME but the world. Apart from the big three there's no consent on morality or moral issues. Every society has their own rules and breaking them will get you sanctioned. So, there's no universal checklist. Not killing, robbing or raping a member of your society on the other hand, needs no superior authority to be considered taboo, since it will get you removed from your society.

Christianity for example, shows God as a being that could do mistakes. He even has a "human version" called Jesus.
That's why forgiveness is thought of as being "easy".
Personally, I think that this is the point where Islam differs than all the other religions; In Islam : God is alive, intelligent and doesn't play games (like humans). He forgives, indeed, but who said that he'll forgive my sins ? or in other words : who said he will accept my apology ?
If I was to do tricks & try to get around a certain law, then God will bust me.
It's all about taking God seriously & believing for real.
If you take Allah seriously then you will stone women who wear t-shirts
If you really took Allah seriously, you would be in jail right now because a lot of the things the Quran tells you to do are illegal.
