There are two types of Islam :
1)The fox news+ Sunni/Shia Islam : which you're talking about in your comment.
2)The real Islam : which doesn't even has "stoning" in it.
Stoning was never mentioned as a penalty in the Quran, neither was "Jihad" meant to be waged against people who didn't attack first with fatal methodologies.
Islam today is something like 10 or more different sects; believing in different things. It's more than what Fox news says.
It's more correct to say : "taking the sunni/shia faiths (or fox news) too seriously, is what would lead to the things you said".
You might very well be a secular muslim, if that's what you're claiming to be, but how do you propose we deal with the more problematic types of Islam being practiced? By pretending the problem isn't there?
