Yea they do have the right to bitch, everyone does in a free society, but that does not mean they get to prevent us from offending them. Maybe instead of condemning us, you should think about why we blaspheme them. I am former Catholic, I have seen their forked tongue for ages. Nobody is perfect no, not even atheists, I just hate those who act like their shit don't stink and on top of that cover it up and act like they are perfect.
Nobody stuck a gun to the Pope's head and forced him to apply or be appointed to that position, he is a public figure and his institution is a famous institution. He deserves no taboo any more than an actor or rock star or politician. Part of living in a free society is the scrutiny and blasphemy that comes with it. If you want to live under a government that silences blasphemy try Saudi Arabia.
I'm not saying the pope or mo-hammie nor anyone else deserves any special status. I'm just point out the hyprocrisy of the satirist and the devoted fan who think they are any better than the social group they are bullying.
