In contrast, true compassion and understanding (What douche bags pretend to be) doesn't need a 'fun house mirror' to point out the flaws in other groups of people no matter how different or even backwards they may be. It makes allowances and can work around or even offer to help fix a problem, rather than just point out exaggerated perceived weakness in others. satirist seek out weakness to one end alone, and that is the exploitation of it.

I don't regard an organization which shelters child molesters, has in some places practiced the institutionalized abuse of young mothers, spent millions of dollars spreading disinformation about condoms so that people in Africa are dying of AIDS, fomented or supported genocide, and other misdeeds, as being worthy of my compassion, which I reserve for the more deserving -- such as people like you who are apologists for it.

No this is me offering to help you 'FIX' you broken compassion and understanding.

That's ok satire. But there is satire that goes beyond what in my opinion is ok.

You don't have the right to be free of offense.  Get over yourself. Is your god so weak that a few words or cartoons from mere mortals harm him? This is simply religionistas asserting that their feelings have primacy over those of anyone else.
