#2 Reason to Hate People Who Hate Big Pharma

I completely feel your pain.  I get em too.  And they ruin my life in fairly significant measure.

I was given Frova once and I will say that it more or less got rid of the migraine,
but made me into a total zombie.

I would NEVER try to operate a car while on that medication,
but it rendered me a bit useless for any other task, that requires concentration, too.

People have seen me do some strange-ass things trying to relieve migraines.

I've spent the night on the kitchen floor, in tears, with bags of frozen peas clutched to my head.

my personal worst-ever migraine experience, if anyone is interested (and don't feel obliged):

I had a nervous breakdown that began on New Year's 2011-2012.

Already being prone to migraines,
my breakdown began as my worst migraine ever,
(and it's not like I haven't had plenty of doozies in my time).

It made my pulse beat so loudly in my ears,
that I couldn't hear people in the same room, talking, over the "rushing noise";

the pressure in my head was so profound, that time,
that I was positive that I would start bleeding out of my ears, nose and eyes, at any moment
...and maybe it would have been better, if I had.

It lasted at that intensity for 10 days solid with no relief,
and then slowly backed off,
but it was a good two months before that particular headache conclusively departed.

in retrospect, i should have gone to the hospital,
but I was actually in too much pain by that time,
to even communicate coherently.
