Big pharma being what they are is the reason I think we'll never see a cure for cancer. A very effective, and equally expensive, (unless you get your meds from Mexico) treatment that controls it? Sure. But, not a cure. There's far more profit to be had treating an ongoing condition than there is in curing a condition.

I hear this argument a lot.

I have worked for Big Pharma my entire career. Scientists get cancer, too, and have families who do. We aren't fucking monsters.

the word "cancer" encompasses a huge variety of diseases with many different and disparate causes. We will find the keys to cancers one by one.
