Yes, it's not too bad; it's a MOTW movie, not a mytharc movie so it stands alone from the series pretty well.

The font they used for the credits at the start is different...  more vertical than it used to be... right?

Could be a 16:9 vs 4:3 aspect ratio thing, no?

It should be stretched the other way then - fatter than before, not taller because they'd be going from 4:3 to 16:9...

But even that's not an explanation, because if they just stretched the image it would warp the faces, too, and they weren't... so I think it's a different font.

But I'd have to check.

Eeew, I hate when Mulder calls Scully Dana...

Didn't they have a thing, at some point? Would stand to reason that they'd start using first names...

They did, but that doesn't make it less weird from a fan standpoint - they called each other Mulder and Scully for like 8 years (plus a few episodes in season 9) and only used first names when they were talking to each others' families or in dire situations (like when Scully was in the hospital)

I tried to follow it... but... gave up.
There are times in tv watching when you just have to do some "willful suspension of disbelief".

Halfway through that speech I was like "ooooh, I need to stop listening closely to this..."

Wait?  The Tuskegee experiments and Henrietta Lacks are the only examples Mulder gives for the government lying to its citizens??  C'mon, x-files, do better.

Time constraints... one or two is enough.

But THOSE two?  It's the Henrietta Lacks one that I don't get; from my understanding that wasn't a government-lying-to-the-people situation, that was an established-racial-prejudices-permitting-doctors-to-take-advantage-of-their-black-patients thing, coupled with the authoritarian "doctor knows best" system of medicine at the time.

Prediction: Sveta doesn't have alien DNA but Scully does...
