I think it's fairly obvious I dislike both sides here. Fuck 'em.
Nope sorry, there is no such thing as a utopia. Government will happen, open or closed, pluralistic or fascist, because humans seek power and social order.
The government should not be blindly trusted, no, that is why we have a system of checks and balances and free press to act as the police of government. But to never trust government at all is simply paranoia.
And when people talk like you just did, they never think about what would happen if you suddenly got rid of government. Well here is the reality, it creates a power vacuum, and during that vacuum you get competing camps competing to fill that void. Nobody ever thinks that if they were to get rid of government, what will arise as far as power, and that doesn't always end up the way the idealist wants it to.
The Russian revolution was started because of resource inequality and that ended up with the monster of Stalin. Che took advantage of the plight of the poor and ended up with a one party dictatorship in Cuba and the Castro Family. Even with the Middle east, far too many in the west, especially the warmongering right, thought by busting the current theocrats and tyrants, that democracy would arise and be stable.
You don't trust government? Ok fine, what would you set up if you could? Because even that would still be run by fallible humans who could game it to a monopoly and become abusive too.
I don't like the current monopoly of wealth on politics, but I don't want to get rid of all wealth and all the private sector either.
"Capitalism" is not a form of government. Saudi Arabia has global business ownership and investments in banks and weapons. Gadaffi was a billionaire who owned stock in GE. China's communist party is a form of "authoritarian capitalism". And I am quite sure both Kim Jong Un's family and the Castro family have global investments.
Now again, lets say we suddenly got rid of our current system, what would you replace it with and HOW. And could you guarantee that a new form of monopoly, political or religious or business would not arise out of the ashes of what you would defeat?
