My doctor asked me to pray.

I got sick today, and after going to a very nice doctor, he gave me a short "laundry list" of things to do, which concluded with "pray".  i was amused, but instead of praying, I went home and took my medicine, and now, I feel much better.  No prayers of any kind.

As a surgeon I can tell you that, however much a patient and their family prays, they still have surgery.

I am almost 50 and I amazed at how much modern medicine has progressed even during my lifetime.  After taking my medication, I ended-up passing-out, but this morning, I feel great.  I was diagnosed with Strep with a 102.1 fever, swollen throat, and all the disgusting sinus, etc. But, this morning, I am completely fine.  Have to stay home from work because I am still "highly contagious"; that part I am going to believe!
