FWIW this is only true from an external frame of reference. In the (near) light speed traveller's frame of reference the hypothetical trip would take substantially less time - orders of magnitude less -due to time dilation, if it were possible at all.
(Don't misunderstand, I'm not defending the OP. Just pointing out that relativistic travel is not quite what you're implying.)
