Evolution is the how not the why. 

If you were less biblically inclined, you might just be smarter in science. Hashtag, evolution.

So if it isn't based on what others think or believe then what gives you worth. Do you believe you are evolved. There is nothing in that system that gives you worth so what does?

My worth is first and foremost dependent on me. What others think is useless.

I mean, I get it. Being a part of a religion means that you feel better about yourself due to how others are mindlessly willing to inform you of how great you are despite backing it up with any real evidence.
