The point was that if you believe in Jesus, maybe try to do the shit he said.
But we keep coming back around to the same problem. Belief in Jesus without actual, objective evidence that the belief is factually real is inherently irrational. Trying to rationalize an inherently irrational belief is pointless. Now yes, there are lots of people who have irrational beliefs, but those are not people to be respected, those are people to be pitied.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide mankind that cannot be achieved as well or better through secular means.
