But we keep coming back around to the same problem. Belief in Jesus without actual, objective evidence that the belief is factually real is inherently irrational. Trying to rationalize an inherently irrational belief is pointless. Now yes, there are lots of people who have irrational beliefs, but those are not people to be respected, those are people to be pitied.
And I don't disagree with that. I'm simply saying that if you are starting off with that belief, maybe try doing what he said to do.
