Look, I know he was talking to the rich young ruler and not to us. By that logic, since you're not Timothy or Titus or Philemon or a Corinthian or a Thessalonian, maybe you don't have to give a shit about the entire NT or whatever shit you JWs believe.
Different context, different argument, different forum, different site even. Why wait so long to clarify, and why clarify to someone else instead of to me?
Yes I said it but not in this argument. Why's it matter? In this argument I'm assuming the bullshit Christian perspective. I don't always do that, normally I don't assume Jesus was who he said he was and normally I don't roll with the Christian half-assed "I follow the stuff I like" garbage. In normal conversation, I hold Christians to the standard of what Jesus said.
First of all, ad hominem is simply attacking the person, not the argument. That is what you have digressed to you. You mentioned it on this forum, on this site, in this context, and it was completely germane to your argument, or whatever it is. You need to demonstrate that it this was an instruction of Jesus. You can just throw a single verse out there. One more time, that is called the fallacy of composition. Or are you immune from fallacies because you're not making an argument?
I think the problem here is that you were so proud that you made it on the AE and Matt gave you a pat on the head. But when confronted with an actual response to your lame argument, you have no way of knowing how to respond so you digress to name calling and generalized statements. Hmmm, who does that remind you of?
And just to remind you and everyone else of you absolute statement
Quote:Because if you own a TV while children are starving, and you're a Christian, you're simply not trying. Period.
You kept making it sound like that was part of THIS argument which means you are either dishonest or confused.
You keep crying about ad hominems, meanwhile you are addressing my beliefs rather than the argument. That is a fallacy. Name which one it is genius.
Jesus is like Pinocchio. He's the bastard son of a carpenter. And a liar. And he wishes he was real.
