North Carolina, then Mississippi, now Tennessee pass anti lgbt laws

All firmly in the South, as it seems. Seems as if these people just need someone to discriminate against, since open racism and segregation is out of fashion.

There's also still a sense of revanchism, the terrority lost being racial and not geographcal.

Conservatives in America -- what are they trying to conserve? The good old days, of course, when minorities knew their place and white males ruled supreme.
