When relying upon the word, does one resort to reality?
Or rather, does one rely upon the word in deference to a religious system that has never provided a shred of evidence during its entire history of existence?
I certainly know I prefer the reality over the emotional blackmail.
Faith.
I have faith that those also claiming to have it will discount everything here for the sake of comfort.
Faith is nothing special, yet it affects too many people in the wrong way.
I have faith, that one day people will no longer be plagued by faith.
When dealing in the christian religion their are two types of faith. the faith the church/religion requires and the faith Jesus says we need.
Faith the church is asking for is monument. is a mountain of belief that very few people can generate without just burying their heads in the sand and just hoping they have things right.
The faith Christ asks for is that of a mustard seed (tiny.)
So why is their such a large gap between what the church asks for and what Jesus asks for?
Because God no longer supports the church as he did. He supports individuals. this essentially means the church can't sell you assurance nor exchange it for adherence to it's doctrines. Why? because the God of the bible is not about Doctrinal behaviors, and the Church is all about it's various doctrines. Because of this God does not support/empower the church, because he does not want people to think this church is 'right/true christianity.'
Rather He empowers individuals who do as they are asked and plant their 'mustard seed' of faith where He tells people to plant it. (in A/S/K for the Holy Spirit) Once you obtain a measure of the Holy Spirit God works with you directly and no 'faith' is required.
