Bankers' best guesses about the Vatican's wealth put it at $10 billion to $15 billion. Of this wealth, Italian stockholdings alone run to $1.6 billion, 15% of the value of listed shares on the Italian market. The Vatican has big investments in banking, insurance, chemicals, steel, construction, real estate.

Oh, I forgot.  You're a guy who believes in every fairy tale he ever heard.

So you refer to the Vatican as an example, which is essentially it's own country... talk about apples and oranges. this has nothing to do with your average church. My father pastors a church works a 9-5 job, and does indeed pay taxes.
