I can't take most OTC or Rx sleep aids either.   You know what tends to work? Benadryl.  Might just be me though.

I assumed him refusing the sleep meds was because it was dangerous with other meds? You think I can take something otc safely?

Might have been, might also be that the DEA has been cracking down on overprescribers and no one wants to get caught up in that mess. Might be that they're habit forming - and Dog knows, addiction is a thing of the debbil and ain't nobody got time for that.
