My atheist dad still defends the Bible because it has good ideas in it. I think the good parts can be found in other places other the Bible.
I fail to understand why any atheist would want to keep around a book with 25% of good ideas that can be found elsewhere unless it is for belief history and literature (even though the logic is bad).
Maybe emotion?
