What I find amazing is that every electoral cycle the republicans find more horrible/moronic people to represent them and each time I think they've hit bottom, but every time they do find someone worse.

To be fair, they didn't find him. They fought him tooth and claw along the way. Still do. It's what they call their base which is drifting more and more to the extreme right. It's like the Goethe poem which Disney turned into Fantasia. The wizards apprentice called the ghosts that are now haunting himself and he doesn't know the spell to get rid of them.

Also, to be fair, the democrats aren't much better. This would have been a perfect opportunity to bring on some fresh candidate with real ideas to reform a country suffering under the corporate spell. But no, they presented Hilary, the perfect corporate shill. Which is still the lesser evil for everyone on this planet, but lesser still is evil.
