So our friend here went from being an atheist who believes the universe exists, to a theist who believes the universe exists but calls it God?
I don't see the difference, or the point. I could call the universe Jimmy Four-Legs, then I'd believe in that too.
It feels like a way to slip some woo in the back door via an equivocation fallacy. Why you'd want to do that, I don't know. It's using "God" to mean both the universe, and to imply a load of other things via a different, well known meaning,
But far be it from me to tell people what they should call things. If it makes you happy my friend, you go for it
