Given the diversity of religion and the range of their impacts, and the fact that so many religions do not recognize, to say nothing of willingness to bind themselves to, any appropriate limit on their own influence, Freedom of religion can't be allowed to become any sort of absolute ruling principle if religion is not to rule man. It can only be justified as a sort of suggestion that must be ignored when appropriate.
True enough, but what is reasonable is not what China is doing. I don't really even view it so much as a freedom of religion issue so much as a freedom of speech issue.
