Ruined the weekend

So my other half and I had plans to take our kids out to a very nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday this weekend instead of next weekend. Unfortunately, my stomach decided to screw everyone over starting at 8:30am Saturday.  

Plans had to be cancelled and I have been sitting in the ER since around 10pm unable to keep anything down since this morning. I have not eaten or drank anything since Friday night at 10pm. Needless to say, I've been given nausea (sp?) meds as well as iv fluids and they are giving me my first round of antibiotics here before sending me home. 

I had a Cat Scan which showed irritation in my colon so now I'm going to be referred to a G.I. specialist and they will probably be ordering a colonoscopy. 

The kids are supposed to go skating later today. I'm hoping they can still go after this Saturday went bust with my being sick.
