Wealth isn't good or bad in itself. It's wealthy people not contributing their fair share and heavily influencing politics that's bad. There are exemptions, but they are in the minority. You hear about Gates, Soros or some select few others on an international level. But you hear even more on the ones evading taxes, bribing politicians and ultimately ruining whole economies. Such as Greece, where the ship owners still are totally exempt from paying taxes. Why do you think that is? The original idea may have been to create more jobs, but their continuing legal tax evasion is probably more down to them owning their politicians.
Reagans trickle down economics was a total disaster because they don't reinvest their dosh in a way that is beneficial to society at large. They ship their excesses out, rather than to create jobs.
