Why do you actually believe in God?

I think some people find life/reality dull, meaningless, or too complicated, and have to plaster magic stuff all over it. Or maybe to make themselves feel special.

I can understand this desire, I just don't feel it myself.

This isn't just limited to "gods" of course, whatever the bloody flip they are meant to be. I'm talking about all forms of woo people project onto reality and themselves.
