No. It was a tragedy for the fucking hundreds of thousands of Koreans, Chinese, Filipinos etc. that Japan murdered and raped, and for the many thousands of good Americans who died fighting those evils fucks.
I've personally talked to Korean comfort women, who were sent to the Japanese front lines and systematically raped (we're talking time sheets, here), at the age of 13 or 14. THAT's fucking tragedy.
Now, you're not wrong about Japan and America being allies, and Trump is out of line. On that point, you are perfectly correct. But nobody gets to talk about the tragedy of Japan in WWII.
Japan had fucking nuclear bombs dropped on them. Are you really trying to argue that the war wasn't a tragedy for the Japanese as well?
Yes. Let's pretend the tragedy inflicted on those who had been on the side of the fucking victimizers by those acting to liberate the victims entitles those on the side of the victimizers to the same legitimate grievance as those whom had been their victims.
