Yes I agree that both sides do the former both out of malice and out of optimism; but that is nothing like actually preventing voting or making voting physically difficult, expensive, or time consuming. They aren't the same thing at all.
Nor is the Gore Florida a very good example. W himself thought he'd lost Florida until Jeb set him straight about who votes for who where in Florida. But yes, Clinton tried to do it to Burnie.
Well there was a case where Democrats (in fact a congresswoman's son and his friends) literally slashed the tires of a group 100 of vans that were shuttling voters to the polls. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/12498215/ns/po...ing-tires/ This stuff happens on both sides. People who only see one side of it are probably getting their media from one sided sources or only want to see one side of it. It's very politically naive. If Clinton would do it to Bernie, she'd do it to Trump too but you won't hear about that if you only get one side of the story.
Apples and oranges. Your link is coming up 404 not found, but yes in 2006 a Milwaukee congresswomans son and pals slashed the tires of Republican get out the vote vehicles. Nasty. Illegal. And duly punished as the crime that it was. But, it's a single incident, was not government action. I'm failing to see the comparison to voter purges and police road blocks. It wasn't suppressed eithe. Even liberal old NPR reported it.
As to Clinton making false representactions about the polls Trump does the same, and more often since the polls are against him. So this allows one of them to rig the election how?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
