Two penny 'orth:
One can be an ethnic Jew, a religious Jew, or a combination of the two. Anti-Semites don't make any distinction between the two. Even though she's been an atheist all of her adult life, my wife has been called a 'kike' on more than one occasion.
So, it doesn't much seem to matter if 'Jewish' is a 'race' (whatever that means) or not; there's not a pubic hair's worth of difference between calling someone who hates Jews for being Jews an 'anti-Semite' or a 'racist'.
