Lanza is trying to push his own agenda.  He created the notion of biocentricism, which is something his peers do not agree with simply because it's untestable woo.  He does not speak for psychology as an endeavor, and, frankly, appears to be a quack.

Apparently Deepak Chopra is a fan of his ramblings, which is reason enough to ignore them.
