I probably would have remained a theist for a longer time period. I remember first doubting Christianity because of the ridiculous Adam and Eve story while also being taught about dinosaurs.
It's hard to imagine the bible as pretty much a history book that basically says all this stuff happened, nothing supernatural, but by the way, there is definitely a god.
I think I can safely say my doubts would have been delayed, and I might have remained vaguely religious with some doubts instead of totally agnostic like I am now.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
