I come back after a hiatus and I've yet to see any science or logic out of any of the god-lovers on this thread. Ryft, oh Ryft...where art thou? You might be an obfuscating arrogant ass, but at least you could write in grammatically correct sentences.

And i do agree, when you take away god, you take away 'right and wrong' and we are heading towards a moraless society because of this. Being tolerant of someones elses opinion is not something you should be proud of, it should be expected.

Sorry, it's a habit I've developed when dealing with people who are too literal with the Bible, or in your case the Koran.

Point is there is written records from books which date back to not long after Christ, the best evidence would be the christian books found in palestine, the actual place where jesus chilled out. but as i said, the roman church would not publicise these books since they dnt follow modern christian ideas, but as proof of jesus existence you cant deny them. It is a written record of his life written by people that were around him.

Search 'old bibles in palestine' in youtube to see more about these books, you cant buy them from woolworths or hmv.

I'm not going to search youtube, of all places, for god-proof. Burden of proof is on you, so please, cite them and give me supporting sources outside of Christian ones that claim the existence of a holy man named Jesus who performed miracles for believers and non-believers alike.

If you actually had anything to do with the science of evolution you will know there are more questions than answers - why have so many animals stayed virtually unchanged for milions of years yet other have grown legs, walking flying etc.

i dont completely disagree with evolution, there are aspects of it which are logical, ie natural selection, but each and every species was not created from random genetic mutations.

By your own admission you know every little of science where a number to you doesnt represent the randomness of a probability...yet you 'observe' science has proven evolution and disproven the existence of god.

the greatest scientist in earths history was einstein - and he believed in god, more strongly as he discovered more because he fully understood the extremely fine and delicate balance of everything in the universe, which is not possible by chance.

All science creates more questions than answers - it's a self-improving process. Religion creates more answers than questions...mostly because leaders would rather you accept whatever they say and move along like good little sheep.

If YOU had any real grasp of evolution, you'd realize that it is a work in progress for the best version of that organism in the particular environment and situation it inhabits at that particular time. There is no one perfect form. Random genetic mutations almost certainly played a part. I asked for some of the boys to weigh in with their science knowledge because it DOES run deeper than mine in their particular fields - I'm studying horticulture, not pure biology or evolutionary development. It doesn't make me an idiot, it just means I'm deferring to someone who could have possibly done better justice to the knowledge the world currently has. Also, I have "observed" the logic of evolution, and we have examples of it happening around us NOW, but science has yet to prove or disprove god. I am not required to waste brain and heart space believing in something that hasn't been proved to be even likely. YOU can't disprove the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Also, Einstein is ONE of the greatest scientists - and I wish you theists wouldn't keep trying to appeal to authority by grabbing our scientists. For one, Einstein was, if he actually was a theist by your definition, a Jew. Not a Christ-believer and certainly not a follower of Muhammed and Allah. I've already said this in another thread, but can we please all get over that? And just like many other secular Jews, he managed to see the bullshit of the Abrahamic tradition and focus on something more important. If he was a believer, he was a deist, and I'm not even convinced of that. No, there wasn't.There were "men of god" who used the rudiments of science in the church, even though their science was flawed. The scientific method hadn't been developed yet, and so even though those "religions" (which are actually regional ethnicities, as not everyone belonging to those nationalities or ethnicities belonged to the same religion) might have used some of the principles of science, they still believed in woo. And it's hilarious you're arguing about it, as I read books and articles in which scientists from your Muslim countries have to do things on the sly because your religion draws the line against scientific inquiry. Quick fun example: I just finished reading "Bonk," which is a book about the science of sex, and the scientists who went about revolutionizing the scientific study of it. A scientist from a Muslim country is forced to perform health and inquiry experiments in subterfuge with prostitutes and even those are hard to come by.

You're also making sweeping statements - religion doesn't cause all wars, and no rational person would think so. But, it does give a helluva base to inspire people to go. I'm getting tired of formatting things and from the rest of the thread it looks like they tried to explain to you what happened, or at least suggested all of you go back to high school biology for a review. I can't believe I wasted my time thus far. I can only attribute it to that wonder of medicinal science: Nyquil.
