RE: If Life is Meaningless Anyway, then What's Wrong with Religion?

Nothing's inherantly wrong with religion but I think there's something wrong with your logic.
If the meaning is fictional and acknowledged by you to be fictional then how does it bring you happiness?
There's loads of reasons I can see for religion bringing happiness to people. At least certain religious ideals anyway.
If you can get happiness from fake meaning that you know is fake then that's amazing, in fact I didn't know it was humanly possible, I certainly can't do that.
If it works for you though then go for it. I just hope it isn't the religion of burning babies for the horned one. Or the hoof footed one.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
