I suppose that's a matter of preference as I've found every iteration of the PlayStation controller to be too small and too light.
The last console I had was an N64 (and very briefly a Wii... not my thing at all... a console should be about being lazy
) and they had very comfortable, ergonomic controllers but I can't use a playstation controller for more than a few minutes without getting RSI 
I think they're very badly designed. So as much as I'd like to try having another console, and one that has 'lazy' controllers like the good old days, playstation feels out for me. I've never tried an xbox but it seems to me that, being Microsoft, it would essentially be a PC (except in a prettier box and lacking the other stuff pcs can do) ... the same sort of tech... so that's not particularly appealing either because I've already got a PC. So if there were better controllers, I think I'd go for a playstation out of those two.
