LOL @ the idea that Trump will kickstart the economy.
Trump, the guy whose 'business acumen' comes from mismanaging the inheritance his father left him, strong arming banks in bad real estate deals because he's more than willing to simply go bankrupt and default on his ample loans, and having every one of his chintzy trinkets made overseas.
The guy who tried selling steaks at Sharper Image, sold idiots on a non-existent 'university', and siphoned money from his charity to cover campaign costs.
The guy who hasn't paid taxes in 18 years and boasts about it, yet seethes when talking about moochers.
Yeah, that's the guy who we can trust to steer the ship. He's the guy looking out for the middle class with his talk about giving his rich buddies yet another tax break, as though supply side/trickle down economics has ever worked (funny how job creators are actually the people who demand goods and services, rather than the people who provide them).
See, here's the thing - the very rich already have the lowest operating costs possible through outsourcing. They're more than comfortable with slavery, wage or otherwise. They have no incentive to change. For as much as they may brag about "American made," that's just marketing. They don't really give a shit. And for small business people, well, humans are the most expensive part of the process. Insurance, benefits, wages, equipment... workers are expensive. That's why they're always the last to be added to the mix and the first to go. And that's why, when possible, they outsource. Because one American is worth, what, 10 people from some shit hole country? 20? 50?
Give me break. It is the height of naivete to think that lowering taxes on people who don't pay them to begin with will benefit the American workforce. That our betters will graciously allow us to feed off whatever crumbs they may have left us once they've had their fill. It didn't work in the 80's and early 90's, and it's certainly not going to work now.
Trump and the rest of the GOP keep sucking off the ghost of Reagan. They like that he 'talked tough' and 'wasn't scared of the Soviets' and all that other BS. They conveniently forget that his policies ballooned our deficit and led to a recession, and made a few people a ton of money, while leaving the rest of us to pay for the mess. And now Trump and the idiots who masturbate to "Red Dawn" want to go right back to the Reagan era, but on an advanced timetable and with a leader who couldn't even hold Reagan's jock.
It would be laughable if it wasn't so frightening.
