Agree with access to =/= not bothered. Of course people are bothered by it. IT's not an EASY choice, but it isn't the governments job to make that choice. It's up to the doctors and women involved. Read up on women who have had to have them. Read one of their stories, how heartbroken they are, how hard it was for them, and how GLAD they are that it was an option for them. Some women might still chose to take the risk if their helath is at stake, or bear a child they know for a fact will die anyway, but why should anyone other than that woman, her doctor, and her family be involved in making those choices?
Also, no one is arguing for unfettered access to late term abortions. That is a myth of pro-life to further their goals. It needs to be recommended by a doctor for a good reason.

Like with drugs and almost anything, it just drives it underground and makes it more dangerous. Access to birth control and sex education reduces abortion rates though, something the right often fights against.
