I do not think this even pertains to the matter Napo. The issue here is kids as in persons that haven't fully grasped stuff in the hands of those taking advantage of this situation. Adults may not grasp everything but they can sway a child.

There was a conviction of a man that sexually used her 24 y old daughter with severe mental disability sexually. It was not pedophilia, but "abuse of a non consenting adult".

Most pedophiles work within family or close friends. They build up this and manipulate someone that gives trust to them. It is not uncommon to them to listen when parents dont ( teenagers ) only to use that trust for their desires or whatever they do.

It's illegal because of ability to give consent. Hence me asking the question, if you had someone who was 14 who could give consent (due to a hypothetical brain transplant), then does it make a difference?
