And this is coming from the GOP which is obsessed with what people do int heir bedrooms and use a holy book to justify controlling women's reproductive rights.
The religious right is no different worldwide, be they Christian or Muslim or Jew. Take old books of mythology rooted in misogyny where at best, women are treated as props to make the male heros look good, and you can use it to justify all sorts of absurdities.
