The guy who hit me was actually really nice. He was in tears. I told him to chill. I think it was my fault because one of my books was still going when they found me.
At least wait until you can remember what happened before you decide the doctors are being idiots.
I remember when I could see but was stone deaf, I was waiting for a traffic light at the bottom of a hill. When my light turned green I started across the street, but the other people were still standing there. At first I wondered what shade of green they were waiting for. Then decided maybe there was a reason they were waiting and maybe I should find out what that reason is before I strike out on my own. So I stepped back on the curb and right then an ambulance came over the hill and went right over the spot where I had been standing.
It’s good to be independent. It’s also good to be realistic about the world we have to navigate in. parking lots in front of stores and libraries are dangerous because cars can come at us from any direction and the parked cars obstruct the drivers' view. So ask someone to walk with you. It’s the difference between independence and hubris. Between life and death. I’m glad you are alive.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.
