Trump appealed to a lot of people for various reasons, and although we've seen there were some reluctant Trump voters, it seems most of his voters were enthusiastic.(November 10, 2016 at 11:40 pm)Minimalist Wrote: Bullshit. Hillary won the nomination and Bernie lost. And it wasn't all that close. That chart shows a republicunt ceiling. Drumpf did worse than McCain AND Romney but it was the fucking democrats being whiny little bitches who put Drumpf in the White House.
Well, fuck 'em. They can enjoy Drumpf sticking his dick up their asses for the next 4 years secure in the knowledge that they have no one to blame but themselves.
I went along with your narrative about Hillary being the one for a while, but enough with peddling this pro-Hillary bullshit. Bernie obviously had a better chance at winning the general election. Like I said elsewhere, it's not about just spousing certain policies and views. It's about connection with the people, it's about having that X-factor that people find appealing and endearing, it's about being one with the people instead of just being their emotionally distant leader.
Lots of people love Hillary, that's not what is being debated of course. The problem is not enough people loved her the way Bernie was loved. Bernie cared, and it showed. Hillary was a little too distant, and dare I say, not convincingly genuine. People subconsciously pick up on that stuff.
And, by the way, no one blame it on the accusations made against her. She could've won if she had more appeal. After all, just look at Trump. Under normal circumstances, he would've had his ass kicked for all the allegations against him and all the idiocies he spouts, but he has the Trump appeal, and enough people love him for that. That's a big part of why he won.
We need someone who makes us all enthusiastic, like Obama did. Like Bernie did. I took this pic in my super red town of Albany Oregon.
I saw sooo much support for Bernie here in this rural, mostly republican stronghold. You know what I saw for Hillary? One sign. You know what I saw for Trump. Probably 1000 signs, stickers and flags.
It's a freaking popularity contest now. I don't like it, but we need to play the effing game, or we'll just keep losing.
