Black people and christianity

Perhaps because of the role of black churches in the civil rights movement, criticism of Christianity carries a greater stigma among African Americans. Or maybe it's because oppression continues and the church has been a source of solace.

Don't forget education. Historically black people in most of the world have had lower educational attainment than others, a pattern which is continuing (mostly due to externalities). Education does negatively correlate to religiosity.
