My parents were never church-goers but nominally CofE.
Me and my elder sister were baptised as this was apparently mandatory to attend the local Catholic school which was selected due to it's academic record.
As told a few times on previous threads I came to the conclusion the Nuns were talking out of their backsides by the age of 7.
My dad apparently dropped his belief in christianity during one of my cousin's baptism as the priest spent the entire time moaning about his pension, since then he seems to have gone in for some form of new-ageism.
My mum never used to refer to anything of a religious nature though in recent years there have been a couple of odd phrases creeping in which I think she picked up from her mother who was religious.
My elder sister did go through a phase of church-going during her teenage years mostly due to the influence of her friends who were daughters of an American pastor who'd come over to preach.
As far as I know my youngest sister never attended church for anything other than funerals.
My fiancee is rather more anti-theist than myself though I suspect that has to do with being dragged to church into her teenage years by her mother.
My step daughter has been brought up atheist though recently began attending a group run by Mormons for recruiting, this has become something of a bone of contention...
My son is 2 and can tell me when his nappy needs changing.
